PADI Rescue Diver

"There are several good reasons for wanting to become a PADI Rescue Diver. Rescue training expands your knowledge of diving, increases your level of diving skill and makes you more aware of what is happening around you in the diving environment".quote from the PADI Rescue Diver Manual...

the idea...
For most qualified divers a ‘rescue’ situation may never occur, this is not down to good luck but good dive planning and diving skills. However, the potential for dangerous situations may be ever present, but the correct action at an early stage by a skilled Rescue diver, Divemaster or Instructor, usually means that the situation never develops any further, often going unnoticed by most other divers.
The Rescue Diver course is designed to teach the basics of dealing with distress situations in the diving environment. Our aim is not to teach you a text book way to deal with an accident as situations seldom develop ‘text book style’, instead we aim to help you build a comprehensive and diverse range of skills, both in early recognition of problems and in being able to deal with an emergency.

“The purpose of the course is to arm you with skills to enable you to reduce the possibility of accidents occurring.
While Providing assistance as required in an efficient and effective way in the event of an accident.”
